TELUS Centre for
Performing and Learning

Located on Bloor Street West, Toronto’s center for luxury shopping and adjacent to the Royal Ontario Museum, the new Telus Centre for the Performing Arts compliments its surroundings.  The new additions to the Royal Conservatory of Music act as a backdrop against the existing heritage buildings. The space between the old and the new buildings is enclosed to create a skylit pedestrian court. Contemporary glazing systems for the new additions provide a dynamic counterpoint to the polychromatic facades of the heritage buildings. This project demonstrated PICCO Engineering's ability to seamlessly integrate modern techniques with past accomplishments.
